1997 9000 CSE abs question

hello all,
I am the proud new owner of a 97 CSE. After about a month and about 1200 miles, I have a question regarding my ABS system.
Having not owned a car with ABS before, I am unsure what to expect, but I am pretty sure that something is amiss within my ABS system.
In a few instances (under 10) in many stops, the brake pedal will give at the end of travel and somewhat hammer erratically, with what I can only describe as an unnatural feel. In one instance, the pedal gave, then pushed back quite forcefully (to my surprise). In addition ABS light comes on randomly during driving, usually when accelerating out of a turn. It is always off at start-up however. Otherwise braking is fine, and with recent trip to the mechanic (who did not have saab abs diagnostic equipment), the rest of the braking system is in good shape.
Should I be concerned? armchair diagnoses?
Also, as preventative maintenance, is bars leaks available in most autoparts stores?
BTW, my turbo is very loud in terms of it's whoosh. Otherwise performs fine. Am I reading too much into this? Relatedly, on hard acceleration, how far should the needle travel as a healthy boost (as opposed to overboost etc).
Sorry for all the questions, as I am a relatively new saab owner. So far, however, I am very satisfied.
Thanks for any comments,
Derek
