This problem has been plaguing me for a year now. The starter comes on while driving. I can then bring the car to a halt, turn the key off, and the starter will still be cranking. I then turn the key to start and the car starts up, and when I let go, the cranking stops too. I can even do this procedure on the fly now by putting the car in neutral.

I've replaced the ignition switch twice. After the first replacement the problem didn't happen for a year, but then it happened again this year. I bought another switch, but this time it has not made a difference.

Any ideas? I wish it would happen some time near my house, so I could trace the fault. I did install an extra relay to help hot starting. Could this relay be triggering it?
