The only easy test
Get a different antenna (cheapo universal replacement).
Plug it in to the radio. If bad at radio, problem with the radio.
If good reception, then plug it in in back at the antenna.
If good, problem is in the antenna itself.
If good at radio and bad at antenna, bad cable from antenna to radio.
