I believe that the turn signals and the emergency flashers use the same relay, so these 2 issues may well be related. Typically, as the relay ages the emergency flashers will fail before the turn signals. A simple relay replacement could clear up both problems.
As for the brake light, are you getting a bad bulb warning on the instrument cluster pictogram?
