Freezing the poly mounts also helps the installation also. I didnt remove the alternator either. I actually rotated the power steering upwards by removing one bolt. Obviously, the serpentine belt needs to be removed for that to happen. But that gave me the clearance that I needed to remove the motor mount bracket from the head. You can remove the old rubber mount with a hacksaw. Its a PITA but doable. Pretty sure I plugged the line from the p.s. reservoir to account for the pumps rotation. Good luck.
