People must be away on vacation for the holiday. I have done the AT in a 91 9kt. It is pretty straight forward. You need to hold up the engine somehow. I used a drive under engine puller with chainfall. I lowered the tranny to the ground using a chain and engine cherry picker. Some have used a tranny jack, but you need something because the tranny is heavy.
To make the job easier take the hood off to give head room. Have plenty of jackstands available to hold up the car. The rest is just unbolting and bolting stuff. That little 3X1 is just a cover and can be pryed off. The hardest part for me was putting the bolts in that secure the torque converter to the flywheel thru the starter hole My hands were too large.
Get the SAAB AT manual...because it is really helpful.
Let me know if you have other questions
