My guess would be that there is some condensation on the rear speakers in chilly weather, although if that were true, I don't see it going away in 20 seconds after startup, so hmm. So, if you leave the stereo off at startup and then wait a minute, THEN turn the stereo on, do you hear the noise? Is it always 20 seconds after the stereo comes on, or just 20 seconds after the car is turned on? If you adjust the fader all the way to the front the night before, do you still hear the noise in the back? If you do, I would suspect somehow something else electrical is introducing noise to the speaker wires for the back (fuel pump??).
