SPEC clutch update for 9K Aero

Well it took 3 hours to get the tranny out and about 5 to get it back in. Thanks to the fact that like a moron I installed the pilot bearing in the flywheel. After I read some posts and learned that 9000's don't use a pilot bearing I had the tranny in and buttoned up in no time. I replaced the clutch line with a new factory one.
I'm told that the SPEC clutch will take some time to break in. Approx 500 miles of stop and go. I've got about 300 so far and I'm beginning to wonder if this clutch will stay in the car. Anyone have experience with the break in time? It is anything but stock feel. I've bled the system completely several times, but it is so grabby that I can't get a smooth start from a stop without reving above 2000 rpms.
The flywheel was replaced, it has a new slave cylinder, clutch line, tranny mounts, rebuilt tranny, main seal, the whole works. and the install was perfect and uncomplicated.
I can tell the clutch is gettig better with more mileage on it, but it has a long way to go before I'd be happy with it. Right now I'd rather have a stock clutch and risk it slipping on the rare occasion I fully utilize my stg 3 power, than to live with a car that violently shakes every time I move from a stop. All other shifts are great and the rebuild from Mile High Body Shop in Denver is superb so far.
Will a stainles line make a difference or will I be wasting $? ANyone install one that they can share their experience. I really don't want to have to take that thing out of there, but I will if it doesn't get better.
