The best/safest way to upgrade your CS to over the standard 200 hp is with upgraded software.
However, before you do that, you need to install a BPC valve (remeber the cylinder with the three hoses on the radiator shroud?) so that the computer can control the turbo pressure.
In addition to upgraded software, there are other options that you CAN do to make more power, but don't necessarily NEED to do. Items like an upgraded exhaust, intake, etc. are recommended, but not needed.
So to answer your numbered questions:
