Apologies to all cat lovers.

You should have no problem with this, with the complexity of projects you have done in the past.

1. You need some method of controlling maximum boost, to protect your engine. A BPC is the usual method, utilizing vacuum pressure to actuate the wastegate. This plastic valve sits on the radiator fan shroud, to the battery side of the fan. An alternative is a manual boost controller, but this is more complicated and used by fewer tuners. I would recommend that you install the BPC. We can help you with routing the tubing properly.

2. Your ECU is a chip that determines the maximum allowable boost. It also processes information from the DI cassette regarding pre-ignition, and it lowers the boost accordingly. The chip for your LPT must be swapped out with another chip to allow higher boost. The choice comes with determining how much boost (e.g., how much hp) you want. If you get a stock chip that came with the FPT version of your car (the 9000 CSE), then you will get 200 hp. Alternatively, get a chip that is programmed to allow higher boost. Your engine will easily and safely produce 250 hp. This is entirely attainable with your existing T25 Garrett turbocharger. I would recommend going for the higher hp, because the cost will be about the same.

3. Optional: Boost gauge. Your LPT car is not equipped with one, but you may want to install a gauge that is actually calibrated to psi and not just yellow and red zones. You can do this much later if you want, or not at all if you're comfortable not knowing how much boost you're getting.

4. Optional: less restrictive exhaust, important if you go above 200 hp. You can also do this later. A larger downpipe is really the most important part, because the exhaust has cooled enough by the time it gets to the catalytic convertor that its volume is reduced, and backpressure is not such an issue. A less restrictive downpipe (e.g., JT 3" downpipe) will allow your turbocharger to remain cooler. You can do this upgrade later, but how much later depends on how much you want to be blasting around in your new hot rod. If you decide to do this, ask some questions. I've done it on two 9000's now.

Nice looking 9000 on your website. I particularly like that 5-spoke wheel.
