Correct...wastegate rod fallen off will yield no boost. I'm guessing that the problem in this case is the ecu. I don't know of any real way to test the ecu, but ruling out the wg arm and having a bpc die like that are telltale signs of ecu issues. I had this happen in my Stage 4 Aero...dead bpc about a month prior...went to take off from a traffic light one day, got on it in 2nd and...nothing! There is a procedure around to repair the ecu if you're good with a soldering iron or you could try to find another good ecu elsewhere. Its a crappy situation to get stuck with, believe me I know.
