the computer simulates the temp. electronicly, and the sensor sends a continuous signal to the ecu. the fuel mix is ricer at start up and during the warm up period, as the temp incresses the fuel is decressed proportionately. Off hand have you checked the resistance of your amm ?
the book says that the base setting of 380 ohms should be checked after any componant changes or other repairs ie head gasket, injector swap, aic is mentioned in the list also.
