Nahum,
I asked the same question about a year ago to SAAB USA and they gave me some figures. This information together with the information from this website that tallies the US sales only will give some idea of the production quantities (sold in the US): http://webpages.charter.net/ralimi/aero/

I wish I had worldwide market info but they didn't give it to me.

The following are the production numbers for all Saab 9000 Aeros between 1993 and 1997 by color and transmission type. I wish they gave this info by year but again Bob's site above can provide some relative information.

These are production numbers for the US only

Auto Trans Sales
Cirrus White 62
Black 419
LeMAns BLue 43
Scarabe Green 179
Eucalyptus Green 115
Imola Red 124
Silver 118
Midnight Blue 39

Manual Trans Sales
Cirrus White 103
Black 1149
LeMans BLue 127
Scarabe Green 328
Eucalyptus Green 296
Imola Red 358
Silver 293
Midnight Blue 98

You can see that auto tannies were produced in fewer numbers and that Midnight Blue is the rarest color across transmission. An auto Midnight Blue appears to be the rarest beast of all. I have a silver 1997 Aero which is a nice color in Phoenix, AZ.
I hope this helps.
