Do you like the manual tranny on your 9k?

After searching for a a couple of months, I finally bought a 1996 CSE with 120k miles, 5 speed, and Black (I liked it much better than tan) leather.
The car is in pretty good condition, and I really enjoy driving it on the open road. But in stop and go traffic, I have to focus on the clutch and gas to move smoothly. Otherwise the car just jerks or shakes in the first and second gear. The engine mounts seem to be in OK shape. I am not new to stick driving. I have had a Toyota Supra and an Acura Legend before the 9k, which I have put more than 150k miles in total, and both were much easier to drive. Sometimes I kinda doubt I can ever get used to the shifting feeling. I test drove a couple of 9k's with automatic tranny, and it seems to be a much better combination.
