get rid of it.
Bought a 1995 Saab Aero in 1995 (slightly used with 20K+ miles). Other than the usual Saab issues, it's been highly reliable. It has 110K+ miles now and it stranded with once with a broken clutch hose once frigid winter day.
I've been looking at a replacement but can't seem to get something close to it. Yes, there are cars with better ride, faster to 60, ..... But none has the all around versatility of a late model 9000 (mind you that the latest 9000 is close to 9 year old).
Wife has a 2003 9-5 Aero, yes, it's a better overall car with a more rigid chassis, better ride, better handling (yes it handles better than my Aero and not as rough riding), probably safer, if it were a wagon, probably carries more than a 9000...but it just doesn't feel like...hmm...hmm...a Saab 8-).
I've looked at the Subaru Legacy (turbo and all) a few time but just can't get over the small interior and little trunk space and the overall cheap feel of the interior, not to mention the cheapo sound when you close the door with the window down, not for a $30k+ car.
Well, anyone with suggestion for a 9000 replacement ? Only if VW would make the new GTI about 1.25 times its size and with four doors 8-).
