Doing it yourself isn't that bad at all. You'll need an engine crane, some lengths of chain, a prybar, jack stands and the general assortment of hand tools to do it. There really isn't anything you can mess up, which is nice. As long as everything bolts back up, its right. If I were to guess, a garage would take anywhere between 4-8 hours for a remove / install. Man, that's spendy for a tranny. I understand having a warranty and what not, but for my money, I'd find a used salvage yard tranny that is good for $600 and run that; an autobox Aero is 200hp, same as any other CSE out there, so trannies should be plentiful, but to each their own. I've got a good '93 auto trans from a turbo CDE, and was looking at an SPG in KY; be nice to work out a deal on the trip down there!!
