You should check the main ground cables. If the connections to the body and/or engine block are seriously corroded, the best battery or jumper cable connections won't be able to help you. I haven't heard of ground cable terminal corrosion on the newer 9000s, but if you live in a salt-ridden climate, anything's possible, and I guess it is 10 years old. The bunch of little ground connections behind the battery could also cause problems if corroded. And make sure you check all the connections at the battery terminals.
