It may have been fuel cut-off. Do you normally run at 20 psi? Because Saab programs 20 psi to be the kick-in point for fuel cut-off to protect the engine from overboosting with stock fuel system (detonation can occur). Many folks experience this overboosting when the boost circuit fails (faulty BPC valve, blown transistor in ECU, vacuum leaks, etc.).
Quite often the fuel cut-off is so violent, it can cause other damage to the motor mounts, exhaust system, radiator elbows will crack from the engine movement, etc.

The sparks may have been your exhaust, or excess fuel in the system from your stage 3. If the car still drives normal, your probably fine, but will still need to find out if you still want to boost up to 20 psi and risk fuel cut out again.

Your CEL may go away after a few hours of driving.
