I just went through this same question last month on my 94 Aero. I am in Ohio so I needed good performance plus good all weather traction. I have never been happy with a goodyear tire, and I am somewhat tired of getting new tires every 20-30k miles. I also didn't want to spend $500-600 on tires since the last set was a real disapointment. I knew I could not have it all so I listed my criteria as, I wanted to be able to hit a 30mph corner at 40mph in the rain, and still get a good ride with a 40-50k tire.
I ended up with a set of Geostar g505's and let me say this, I love them. it the wet weather they are the best I have had,and they are one of the quietest tires. I havent seen snow yet but the ratings looked good. but the best part was for all 4 tires in a 225 50 16 installed were only $335 so for that If I have to i will get a set of snows. and they claim to be a 50k mile tires. I have tried the Michelin Pilots which are worthless, several dunlops, I had a good set of coopers on my SPG,
