Head Gasket problems

I started up my car this morning and noticed white smoke coming out the back. It slowly dissipated after a few seconds or so. I drove the car about 35 miles and went inside my workplace. I came out for lunch and started up my car to see if it would still smoke, and as you guessed it; it smoked badly. I smell a sweet smell and I’m 100% positive it’s the head. The coolant is about .5 inch less than normal the mark on the side.

My questions are:

I’m I correct in thinking this is the head-gasket?

Since the car has never ran hot and is there any reason to have the head resurfaced?

What brand of gasket should I buy?

How long will the job take from start to finish and is there website with clear details on the job?
