The stock system is great! You will notice an immense improvement over the C900 system, which wasn't really even a system at all.
The headunit and CD player (and changer where applicable) are made by Clarion, the speakers and amp were either Clarion or HK (HK in your case). I can't say they're anything but reliable.
I consider myself picky about sound, so I replaced my speakers (one was torn anyway) and added a subwoofer, but the stock system (especially the HK one) is more than adequate for the normal listener.
Saabradio.com advertises in the classifieds, and will repair your radio/CD if you need it. Everyone has great things to say about Wasyl.
I think that the stock system, if functioning correctly, will be absolutely perfect for you.
Good luck!
