Agreed, I've heard of the arms having problems, but when I did my core/motor the flap and arm seemed really strong and I couldn't imagine having a problem with it (and mine's an 87!) Unless something gets jammed or forced. Then again, they wouldn't sell splints/new ones if they never broke.
