I have the lock cylinder out of the door handle. On the very back end there is a flat piece the size of a dime with a 90 degree post on one side that points towards the front. There are the ends of springs poking out holding it into place. Next in line from the back is a ring that rotates only a little, it has the ball sticking out of it to hook to the lock acuator rod. That is the ring I need to replace because the ball is broke off.
How does the end piece come off? Do I bend the little ends of the springs in so the end ring will rotate?
