All,
I posted about this a little while ago, but I have been narrowing down the issue, and I figure I'd post a more direct question.

My 93 Aero currently, under hard acceleration, will not get to the "red." The car idles perfectly, and unless I punch it, seems perfectly normal. But under hard acceleration, the car will not spool up all the way.

Here's what I have checked so far:

1.) I installed properly gapped NGK plugs in the car. There were NGK's in it, and they were gapped and not spent, but I figured it couldn't hurt.
2.) I pulled off the BPC valve (the one mounted to the radiator... people seem to call this thing different names?) and sprayed electrical cleaner in it and dried it out. I also tested it, and it gets between 2.7 and 3.0 between the center pin and the outer pins.
3.) I checked all the vaccuum lines I could find. I found something suspect and I sealed it, but that didn't do much.

It feels like the car is sensing knocking or something, and "stopping" the boost. I thought it might be bad gas, but I always fill up with the best gas I can find in CA, and I put in a fresh tank, and nothing changed.

I have also heard that the DI cassette might be the culprit? I read the Haynes, and it doesn't give much of a way to test it... I don't have any leaking in the cylinders, but maybe it is on its last legs?

Any ideas of other things to test?

Thanks, Dan
