Ok,
I'm pretty much being given a 1 owner '95 Honda Civic that's been well maintained, but stored for about 18 months. PO parked it after an accident in a different car because the Honda's airbag light is on, and they were hit hard enough to go buy a safer car - three kids, etc, didn't feel safe, ....
Seems like the perfect thing to get my daughter to and from college (about 6 m away), if it gets going.
Well, of course the battery's shot - it freezes up here.
BUT, it has about 8 gals of gas in it.
I've done just about all I can think of for getting it ready to fire up, except I'd like to get that old gas out first. Then work on it some more if it survives and sounds viable.
Any ideas about this -
should I just undo the line, activate the fuel pump and drain it all out?
(and then what with the gas?)
should I just dilute it with new gas?
magic additive that turns varnish into high test?
Buck
