I used to keep a log of suspension #'s and band colors when TSN post'ers would provide them to me. The Aero and CSE shocks do have different part #'s, as are stamped on the tubes themselves. I also came across an old posting on another Saab board that listed the EPC for the different suspensions/shocks among the various 9K models, and the '97 Aero (same as '98 CSE) came with shocks that had a grey stripe on the bottom of the tube, which was a different color than a '97 or earlier CSE.
Not so in the case of the classic 900 in which the shocks were the same across all variants but the springs were different (as noted by the color bands).
