I bumped into a seven year old post here by Ben Millard detailing adding a JC Whitney remote door locking setup to a '91 9000. Anyone know if that is still a valid how-to for my '96?

My car has disastrous door lock issues. Can't get doors to lock even with key, rear doors won't lock at all, except sometimes they DO all lock and unlock with driver's key in door. Probably one big part of the problem is the door lock controller and I expect I'll need to replace that with a known good one. Anyone know if they are the same for all years?

Next, the center console switch pack is a replacement from a car that evidently had no central locking; no switch for that on it. I guess I'll try to trade mine with a local indy for one with correct switches.

The car came with TWO keys, the driver door different from the ignition, which is a royal pain in the butt as they're identical in looks (I do have a wire tie on the ignition key.) A fob to unlock and lock doors would make things tolerable.
