So maybe I should follow the basic rule; "If its not broken don fix it" but I just like too much my 9k, So here is my new issue; Driver door was getting harder to open by the day, so dicided not mess with it any-more and started to take the panel out, so I could get acces to whatever was worn or needed adjustmet, but to be honest I just could not get that panel out due to the bolt behind the outside-mirrow-adjusting-panel,(It was was not giving up and I was about to break somenthing so I stop). So here is what I did in stead; I Removed the latch mechanism (The one with the 3 Torx bolts) and realize that the culprid for the difficulty of the door opening mechanism not working properly (From outside)was the actuating mechanism (Inside the door and move by the outside handle) does not move far up enough, So here is the simple and easy solution; Cut a small plastic sleeve and inserted it on the Latch mechanism lever that unlocks the latch, and that was it reeinstall everithing back and job well done, but decided, since I had the mechanis on my hand to lub it up with Lithium greese. Well the door opens like new from the outside, and my inner panel is fine and no broken trim pieces. But since I had the lithim greese can on my hands and the correct torx tooling; decided to due a lubricating preventive maintenance to the rest of the doors (Big diferent when closing and opening, when this mechanism is lubricated) Please bare with me as I will come to the new issue wich is "Both Rear Door indication light stays on" so all 4 door mechanismos where removed (one a time) and lubricated with plenty of Lithium grease and my doors open and close like a brand-new automovile, but for some reason my Rear right door open-light-indication was staying on, so I when back and close it hard, and it when out, but this evening as I was starting to come to work notice both rear Door indicating light where on Thought someone had came inside the car and left both door open, very odd since I am the only Driver.. well basically both doors where close several times and they close and latch secure perfectly but the indication still remain on, so I decided to check the swith wicht turns on the curtacy-lights and small individual door lingts and is working fine, Is there another switch that indicates door opend? and that with all that greese that I sprayed in that area maybe is causing the false indicating issue? Also in my drive to work one of the indicating lights, the rear left just when off .. very confuse can someone explain how the door indication system actually works.. Soorry for the long story but wanted to share the first part of the story with everyone, but unfortunatly it led to the new issue..
Regard
