Also came to us with lock problems, driver's door had no key. I took it apart thinking to rekey it but it was too unrepairable to bother with, so I just dumped all the pins and springs out, told her it was fine and she went along locking it and unlocking it with her key. Only prob was, key never really came to rest straight up and down.
But this car is different and deserves better. The local locksmith about turned blue and referred me to a better craftsman, at a high price, to try to rekey existing cylinders: "Those are SECURITY locks, no one wants to touch them." Probly I could do it myself but swapping all cylinders is easier.
I already planned 95% of the work, due to needing to lube and analyze just about everything inside all of the doors. With decor panel off, hatch lock is two little bolts. And ignition lock is easy once plastic panel is off, and that's just four screws.
The console cover I'll take entire, just the hinge screws. I haven't even looked at them but I bet that's easy.
