Drove it for 15 or 20 minutes today (laugh if you want, but that's a long drive for me.) ACC modulated heat just about perfectly in the car - very comfortable set at 74 F, I had to turn it down from 78 because it was getting too hot.

So that rules out heater core, heater flap (unless it's just sticky) and air distribution servo. Looking more like an ACC glitch than anything else, and even then, maybe a minor glitch compounded by my unrealistic expectations of the system.

Two final questions:
- Since winter started, I've been getting a little fog on the interior of the windshield from the defrost vents when first starting the car. It dissapates after 15-20 sec, at most. Is this a symptom of a dying heater core? I don't remember if I experienced it last winter, but back then I hadn't read anything on Quasimotors and had not yet assumed the expectations of disaster that he suggests be taken when watching for problems.
- What is the "normal" behavior of the temp gauge on a 94 Aero? Is there a normal? At the end of the drive I just took, it was cranking a delightful amount of heat through the footwells when set at 74 F, but the thermostat was not very much above the blue cold line. (This was with 45 F outside, very little stopping, empty streets.)

Thanks Ari!
