Does this mean that the tweaking stands alone and that if a car stays
at stage 1 or 2 that all it takes is some firmware tweaking and not
all sorts of other parts and changes ?
This man is very much in favor of these wonderful cars staying as
close to 'stock' condition as possible - I just likes 'em that way !
I've had sufficient experience to date with 200k+ 9000s to say that
they hold up marvelously well and my one subject of misunderstanding
is with some folks that simply MUST have a bazillion HP and tons of
boost in a country where 'speeding' is prosecuted so relentlessly.
(I can, and have, gotten into trouble with plain old stock 9000s...)
So unless a car's performance enhancements help in other ways I must
say that I see little value in making already quick cars any quicker.
(Too many times have I heard of young/foolish drivers killing off nice
turbocharged Saabs at high speeds when they lost control - and frankly
we need as many of the REAL Saabs to stick around as possible right now.)
I only wish I had a way to keep maybe 6 or 7 of them around for a good,
long time - for I've heard of nothing that can replace them.
3 Aeros and (what may have been) a Carlsson have impressed me for life !
Best Wishes,
mark
