The manual(s) call for a 21 watt bulb for reversing , rear turn, stop lights and fog lights. The most common bulb for these applications are the 1156 which is 27 watts. This wattage may explain some reports of tail light lense distorton due to bulb heat. 1159 is a 21 watt bulb, but can harder to find. Also there is a 1073 at 23 watts. What ever bulb you use be sure to use the same bulb number in each side or the bulb monitor will complain.
