I did not know SAAB followed BMW's lead on this to change the timing chain tensioner design. Or was this the other way around? I haven't seen this on our 9k. But when I did my 525 M50 engine I encountered the same problem. I just used the new one. It is a simpler and fool proof design. The new tensioner does not need adjustment. You just screw it in.
