This is what I did. Main thing is when loosening or tightening, to always follow the recommended bolt torque pattern.
First, break all the bolts loose with a breaker bar, following the recommended torque pattern.
The, progressively, in a couple of passes, loosen all the bolts, in order until they are all just a little looser than stage 1 torque.
Bring all the bolts up to stage 1 torque.
Now, remove the first bolt (follow the order) and blow out the hole to make sure there is no oil collecting in there, oil the new bolt, be sure to oil the underside of the bolt cap, intall and bring it up to stage 1 torque.
Repaet for the rest of the bolts, in order.
Then torque to stage 2 and stage 3.
Be sure to use thread sealer or gasket maker (NOT thread locking compound)on the valve cover bolts that are closest to the radiator to avoid oil leaks.
You're done, elapsed time 1 hour.
