The two O-rings underneath the double AC hose manifold need to be replaced.
There is a cast groove on the cylinder head end of the compressor the O-rings fit into. The ones on your compressor are probably hard and totally flattened. Once they get flat they loose their sealing ability.
My AC was working last summer, but wasn't earlier this spring. I charged the system and it worked, then wouldn't the next day. Tried it one more time with the same results. I noticed a lot of oil residue coming from between the compressor and double hose manifold on the high pressure side.
The O-rings were flat as a pancake. Replaced them with 2 new ones, and both schrader valves on the compressor. I also replaced the 4 O-rings on the expansion valve. Vacuumed out the system and charged it again. It has been working since.
