The voltage regulator has temperature compensation that lowers the voltage as it gets warmer. The EDU voltage reading is the voltage at the EDU. It is typically lower than the voltage at the battery or alternator due to voltage drops in the wiring. The EDU voltage will fluxuate when the A/C compressor and small fan come on.
