make sure that you do the burnishing or break in on new pads and also with new pads and rotors. immediately after installation, aka before normal usage, find a spot where you can do the following: from about 45-55 get on the brakes hard (not lockup however) and bring the speed down to about 25, repeat about four times *without stopping* this is important so plan for this... then drive that same distance or more to allow cooling. This keeps micro deposits that are extremely hard from being deposited upon the rotor, so hard that the pads will not knock them off and you feel them and think warped rotors as the pads bump over them.
