A little more information would help. What model/year is your car. If you have a '94 or earlier 9000 then you will see more movement of the temp gauge. '95-'98's the temp gauge is "smoothed out" by the ecu. You will not see as much movement of the temp gauge. When my '95 warms up to the point of the cooling fans turning on, the temp guage doesn't climb very high before the fans. My '94 on the other hand will climb to about 10 o clock on the gauge and then fall to 9 o clock after the fans come on.
