Used to be...that wheel cylinders were common to rebuild for drum brakes
and that you HAD to have a brake cylinder honing tool or forget it.
I bet the same 'rule' applies to any small cylinder with some use in it
and no doubt some scoring to show for it.
Could be that is why rebuilds fail so often because the enemies of them
have always been rough surfaces and folded seals on reassembly.
Cost for cost I do wonder what the savings would be between kit+tool and
just getting the new s. cyl. ?
