The fluid will drip straight down from the slave and out the bottom of the bellhousing without contaminating the clutch.
At least in traditional arrangements, the brake master is easier to remove and replace should a rebuild not work (although it's a bear in our particular ABS version). Additionally the slave inner diameter is very large compared to a brake master cylinder, so it's harder to get a well-polished finish there.
We must factor in the cost of our time in redoing work like this. It's more cash but well worth the insurance against tearing into it again. It's probably an 8 hour R/R for most of us, if we're really good at it. Yaofeng practically can do it in his sleep so no fair quoting his time records!
It shouldn't be this way. But for some reason, since the very beginning 9000 clutch hydraulics have been inordinately finicky.
