I had this issue on my Volvo 850 with the front brakes. I ended up replacing the brake lines back to the MC. Wasn't too horrendously expensive (but I imagine rear brakes would be more $$$).
Can't you just have a mechanic cut the line and put a new fitting on it? It requires a brake flaring tool, but shouldn't be a problem for a decent mechanic.
