I replaced fuel pump over the weekend, old one died on me at a gas station after I filled car up. I hit pump a few times with a hammer and I got it going to get me home. Anyway, got new pump in and car started up and realized on drive to store that tank was reading 1/4 but I know tank is full to the top, because I just was in it. I figured the floating device was stuck so I hit some bumps to try and free it up, no luck. Has anyone experienced this problem? I'm trying to avoid going back into tank. That ring is a PITA and don't want to remove the fragile fuel lines on top of pump again. Thanks for any suggestions.
