Go to an auto parts store and look in the brake line section you will understand. I suggest you buy a ready made galvanized 3/16" brake line with fittings already attached to start. Cut one end of the hard line you buy because you need to match it with the soft line. You need to find appropriate metric fittings to connect to the soft line. Insert the metric fitting (male) on the line and re-flare it. On the car you need to buy a std fitting (male). Insert it and flare the line. The two male fittings connect through a union (a brass fitting female threaded on both ends.).
The more difficult part may be in finding the metric fittings to connect the soft line and the hard line.
