No. I was initially worried about that. Before I started, I mounted the dog bone to the engine and chassis bracket without mounting the bracket to the fender. The quarter inch deflection over the 11 inches of the arm did not seem to distort the rubber mounts at all. This was confirmed when I was doing the final assembly after the epoxy set. I had no problem fitting the dog bone, and the effect of the displacement is virtually undetectable.
This might be a problem if you had polyurethane inserts on both ends, but even those will have some give because the whole engine mounting system has a lot of play, by design.
