The ACC died on my daughter's '95. The fans went on she got no heat at all (and it was about 10 degrees F out, with her on a 3 hour drive). Calibration did nothing at all--and didn't show a fault. I swapped the ACC from my '96 in, and all was fine, so got a used ACC from a boneyard and she had heat again. Cost was $100.

The failure was the ACC wasn't moving the flapper arm under the top center of the dash.

Just be sure to get one from the same model year, although any ACC 1 may work. The '95 and later use ACC 2 head units and I don't think they are backwards compatible.
