my time, having to re-do work I shouldn't have to, is worth a lot to me. Of course, getting a reman from a local source will likely take longer, so it's less the delay than it is the hassle of having to do the repair again. I already had to do the RR twice on my car because when I did the job in June (calipers, rotors, pads) I had it all done, the brakes bled and was just doing the e-brake adjustment when I found there was no adjuster in the caliper. The next one, for daughter's car, had a bent-over bleed screw! GRRRR!

So now I'm wondering about the two reman Centrics I put on #1 daughter's 9K at Thanksgiving. She's 3 hours away in Maine and would be stuck if her e-brakes were locked up. I'll show her how to do the manual release when she's home in a few weeks, but the point is I shouldn't have to. I think I'll tell her not to use her e-brake unless she has to.

On the upside, I can do rear brakes on a 9K very quickly now!

But I agree, Bill. I won't buy more Centric reman calipers and will let eEuro know. They are a great outfit and Centric's poor QC isn't eEuro's fault. But they need to know it's a problem. I have four Saabs ('95 to '03) and eEuro is my primary parts source. But I won't buy calipers there anymore. I may just eat this one and get a replacement elsewhere.
