Those are my favorites of all 9000s!
Why not buy the silver Aero and find a decent engine someplace, and swap that in, keeping two nice 9000s?
Just be sure to find a 94 or newer engine, so the block fits properly.
If the silver car happens to be manual and you get a motor from an auto, you can just swap over the larger turbo from the manual.
Plus, if the silver car has TCS (lucky you) you can just bolt those parts right onto the donor engine.
The swap really isn't that complicated, but I do recommend removing the engine and transmission as a unit, as it saves time and makes the job generally easier.
Of course don't forget to budget about $1500 for the swap if you decide to do it, to cover various bits and pieces you'll need to replace along the way. Nice to give the replacement engine a good going-over, maybe new head gasket if you really want to get nuts.
And, what else is wrong with the car due to flood damage, as pointed out already in this thread?
