I have been using the large size hose clamps from the chain auto parts stores. I think three inches???
Never had luck using crimp-style band clamps. I recommend against these. Not enough space in there to work with the crimper tool and get a good grip on the band. At least not with the tools I've found.
Truth be told, you could get by with a large zip tie as long as you plan to replace it before it becomes brittle and breaks.
