Thanks for the recent posts. I appreciate the feedback. I'll give some more consideration ot changing the trans oil to dino version. The car is on the IR list for the next while or so while I get through the holidays, a transfer case pump fix in our Suburban and while I get the parts for the HG. I do like the idea of doing other things while it is open and exposed. I have long thought about getting the alternator rebuilt and that seems liek a good time to do it. As for the front main seal. Boy, that sure seems like a lot more work than I had orginally bargained for. While I am a strong proponent of preventative maintenance, I may let prudence rule the day on that since I have never had any engine oil leaks or anything like that. After the HG job I do need a clutch and that'll be the time to determine if I need a rear main seal. I'll be sure to talk to my favorite indy to get his perspective. If it can be done easily and properly then I may do it, but at this point I am inclined ot leave the fornt and rear main seal alone.
Thanks again!
