My Bro. in Law has a cherry picker and I plan to use that for this job. I am very concerned about the timing chain guides so I'll be sure to go slowly. I haven't quite yet got the picture in my mind of how the guides need to be positioned when removing and reinstalling the head. It seems that upward tension on the timing chain would either allows room for the guides to be pinched toward the center of the block or the upward tension on the chain effectively brings the guides closer to the center allowing for the head to clear the guides. Again, this is what seems ot be going on but I could be completely wrong so I'll need to study this some more, ask questions and search for photos.
